Wilson & Morgan has always had a strong presence in continental Europe, eastern Europe and Asia, but only occasionally in the UK. Times have changed, and it’s due to an old acquaintance of Fabio Rossi…
25 years ago, Fabio received a friendly visit in Treviso from Wallace and John Milroy, two brothers who had founded in 1964 one of the most prestigious specialist wines & spirits stores in London: Milroy’s of Soho. It was the basis of a relationship between whisky enthusiasts which lasts until now.
Milroy’s was born from the business acumen of John and the funding from Wallace’s gold mining in South Africa. Initially a shop with a large selection of wine, sherry and champagne, it then started to expand its selection of single malts… Milroy’s soon became the best provider in London for quality single malts, with the honour of serving prestigious customers such as No.10 Downing Street.
It’s a particular pleasure for us to celebrate our long friendship with Milroy’s: to be officially included in their selection is a testament to the quality of Wilson & Morgan’s single malts, and for us it’s like a trip back in time to the Soho of the Swinging London.
Our first release exclusively for Milroy’s is a very special bottling of:
Caol Ila 15yo Distilled 2007 Bottled 2022 finished for over 24 months in a 1st fill Bourbon Hogshead custom made for Wilson & Morgan.
- Bottled at 48% Cask Number 311602
- Yield of 325 individually numbered bottles (W&M460)
It’s a muscular, smoky but also refined Islay malt that will please all connoisseurs.
